Part 2: Maryland Daytripping to North/Northeast Baltimore

In today's episode of Daytripping with Buddy, we're heading to 2 of our favorite dispensaries, Mana Supply Co. in Middle River and Star Buds in Northern Baltimore. Once you've stocked up, blast to the past (and maybe a past life) at our featured destinations!

The Bengies Drive-In Movie Theater

If you've missed going to the movies this year, take a drive to Middle River, Maryland and enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and movies from the comfort of your car. Celebrating their 65th Anniversary, the Bengies Drive-In theater is a tribute to the golden age of drive-in theaters. Bring blankets and chairs if you want to sit outside. Enjoy the huge original snack bar, signage, and intermission clips will take you back to another time. And, for the price of ONE movie, you'll get a double or triple feature, and occasionally,  Dusk-till-Dawn All Nite Shows. Go to their website to get tickets and see what's playing!

What else to do in the area?

    • The Turning Wheel Bookstore: This unique bookstore has "Everything Metaphysical" for the Witch in you. Get all your magical needs like beautiful crystals, herbs, candles and oils.

    • Walther Gardens: In addition to seasonal garden goodies, this lovely little shop is home to Baltimore's oldest snowball stand featuring over 100 flavors (including some natural options)! If you've never had a Baltimore snowball, you're in for a treat! Check their schedule for special events, concerts, and classes.

    • No Limit Inc: Maybe you're more of a gear head? If you're into vehicle modification, this automotive super-store is the place to go! They can do wheels & tires, performance, suspension, audio/video, body kits, interior, lighting, vehicle wraps and just about any other car or truck accessory that you may need. Allen Iverson, Michael Phelps and Ray Lewis are just a few of their high-profile clients.

Where to eat? We're all about supporting the family-owned restaurants!

    • Frank's Pizza & Pasta: In 1985, Italian cousins Frank & Armando moved to Maryland and opened this pizza shop on Belair Road, using only fresh ingredients (and no dough preservatives). Over 30 years and two generations of the family later, they continue the tradition of quality food that brings people together. Try the cheesesteak!
    • Killa Dogz: Another family-run business, this one begins with a love story and the dream of spreading joy through funky, fantastic dogs! Adding a feisty flare to the traditional ballpark delicacy, founders Fredericka and Keith Dockins provide hunks of burnin' hot dog love throughout the community. In addition to a wild menu, they also have a special "Dog of the Week" like the Summer Slaw Dog featuring pulled pork & barbecue sauce.

    Grab a beer!

    • Oliver Brewing Company: As one of Baltimore’s original craft brewers, they are always pushing the boundaries with new styles, ingredients, and flavors. In addition to the tasting room, Oliver's also delivers around the state. Check out what's on tap!
