Join the Festival Green Team and Joint Action to help minimize the festival footprint at the Bay Grass Music Festival! This year, the festival is stepping up its sustainability game by enforcing a strict policy: all vendors and beverage providers must use compostable or metal (recyclable) products. Single-use plastics? Not on our watch! But to make this eco-friendly mission a reality, we need your help.

As a volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in reducing the festival's environmental impact. Volunteers will be stationed at CRT (compost, recycle, trash) stations to guide festival-goers in sorting their waste correctly. Why does this matter? Any contamination could lead to our efforts being rejected by the compost and recycling companies, undoing all our hard work.

What You’ll Do as a Volunteer:

Before your shift starts, you'll receive training on what goes where and why. This knowledge will empower you to educate festival attendees, making your role not just a volunteer gig but an opportunity to spread awareness and inspire change. You'll be interacting with people throughout your shift, sharing tips on how to reduce waste—not just at the festival, but in everyday life.

Festival Details and Volunteer Perks:

The Bay Grass Music Festival is set to be an unforgettable weekend, and your commitment as a volunteer is essential. Shifts are available on either or both Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, with the following times:

• 10:00am-2:00pm
• 2:00pm-5:00pm
• 5:00pm-8:00pm
• 8:00pm-11:00pm

We have a limited number of spots available, so it's first come, first serve. Once you register, we count on you to show up and give it your all—because if someone no-shows, it leaves us shorthanded and impacts our collective effort.
